Italia 2017 - Siena Super Posts Grand Finale

We finish our Siena spectacular. After the wonderful afternoon at the Duomo and the unexpected climb to the 'panoramic view', we wanted to rest before we headed back to the overlook for late afternoon light pictures. But our rest was interrupted by the sound of drums.

Then it was on to our primary goal for the early evening, the panoramic views of the city in the light of the setting sun. As we got there the bells were tolling.

But there really isn't a lot to be said other than letting the pictures speak for the beauty of the moment.

The sound of the bells takes me back to Europe. I've always wanted to live with in earshot of churchbells. It turns out I do, but only on very clear Sunday mornings, so I've only heard them once or twice.
