Surefire Cake Recipe

Son-in-law, John the Armenian, after a holiday being fully immersed in our family's food crazed persona, passed on this recipe to us as one that fully embraces the essence of we are as a family (reference picture of his wife, Motherrocker, in previous post).

Holiday Cake

Ingredients:
1 cup of water
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup of unsalted butter
1 cup of brown sugar
lemon juice
4 large eggs
nuts
1 bottle of vodka
2 cups of dried fruit
------------------------------------------------------
Sample the vodka to check quality.

Take a large bowl, check the vodka again. To be sure it is of the highest
quality, pour one level cup and drink.

Repeat.

Turn on the electric mixer.

Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.

Add one teaspoon of sugar.

Beat again.

At this point it's best to make sure the vodka is still okay.
Try another cup........just in case.

Turn off the mixerer.

Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl.

Chuck in the cup of dried fruit.

Pick fruit off floor.

Mix on the turner.

If the fried druid gets stuck in the beaterers, pry it loose with a
drewscriver.

Sample the vodka to check for tonsisticity.

Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something.

Check the vodka.

Now shift the lemming juice and strain your nuts.

Add one table.

Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.

Greash the oven.

Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.

Don't forget to beat off the turner.

Finally, throw the bowl through the window.

Finish the vodka.

Fall into bed.

What a yummy recipe! I think I will try it today! But how do you get a screwdriver without orange juice in the recipe? Happy New Year!

De-I.... I'm doing very well. Thanks for checking. Hard to believe it is 4 weeks today. No issues on my end, I'm running around like usual with no real energy-loss at this point. Had a small glass of vino on Xmas and expect to have a bit of Champagne tonite.

Uncle is doing well though he had a few rough spots back in hospital. He spent Xmas Day there. Back home now but feeling the best he has in a while.

On a macabre note, saw the movie 7 Pounds last night. Will Smith plays a character that goes on an organ donation spree to try and assuage some guilt over a car accident..... interesting premise.

Have a safe and happy New Year and all the best to you and your family. Based on past posts I'm assuming a great feast will be involved.
