Welcome - finally - to the
Podolny Towers at White Cloudhome of the
Podolny Group World Headquarters
First just a reminder of what things were like before the project began.
The homestead/home office/hacienda on the day we started construction
The hallway going North just after entering
The room just next to the entryway
AND NOW
THE PODOLNY TOWERS AT WHITE CLOUD
As you enter
(like the nice reflection of yours truly in the glass?)
Entering the Towers
Looking to the North where the room shown above was
The hallway previously shown
Heading up into the Towers
Looking into the Sanctum Santorum of Mrs. de-I
And down the hall to PGWHQ
The PGWHQ Brain Center
No executive washroom is complete without a shower
(already broken in by Chicago partner Ricardo)
Of course a fitness center is a requirement in this day and age
View looking North from the Eastern Porch
View looking Southeast from the Western Porch
(not the best day for taking view pictures - will have more when it's nicer)
We still have a lot more unpacking, cleaning and decorating to do but I have tell you...it is really fabulous and we are really glad we did it :)

Wow. Words fail me. What a terrific house for you and Aunt de-I.
It is truly beautiful!
Outstanding. I had no idea of the grandioseness of the addition. Awesome. I hope someone sterilized that shower after Ricardo was in it. :-)
I love it!!!!! It is breathtaking. I designed a few houses on "The Sims" games before, but they definitely don't compare. =)
It's beautiful! Makes we want to apply for a secretarial job just so I could work in such luxury.
Absolutely beautiful!
How exciting. Congratulations to both of you.
Wow! AWESOME pad!! I'm really happy for you. You did good. :)
gorgeous! Well worth all the pain
Gorgeous, Michael. Having been blessed to spend a lot of time in Albuquerque over the years (as well as Taos and Santa Fe), I envy you for being in one of the truly magnificent parts of this country.
If I try hard enough, I can almost taste a soapapilla and blue corn enchilada.
Finally, I took note of your salmon, asparagus and garlic pasta. Do you ever make Eggs Benedict? It's one of my favorites, but I like to do it differently. Instead of Canadian Bacon, I use...roasted salmon. Lump crabmeat is quite nice as well.
I roast the salmon with sea salt, cracked black pepper and a bit of olive oil drizzled on. I then chop it up and lay it over the top of the poached egg quite liberally. The hollandaise, with a sprinkle of the parsley and...a little slice of Heaven to start your morning. And then, a good walk or jog to, say...Denver. :-)
**sidebar for you: Many years ago...as in, MANY...I nearly played basketball for UNM. The Pit is an awesome, intimidating arena isn't it? If only the Lobos could do a better job of recruiting.
CG - Funny with all the cooking I do I've never made a hollandaise. Lot's of mayonaise but not the hollandaise.
Maybe with Alford we can finally get some reasonable players but as the latest NCAA shows you can't replace the experience of playing day in and out in a power league.
And truth be known, I'm a Connecticut and Georgetown graduate so I tend to be a Big East snob anyway.
In the many years I lived in NYC (most of my adult life), I was a regular at the Big East tourny. I well-remember the days when UConn was a Thursday play-in game...more to the point, an afterthought. That's pre-Gampel, pre-Calhoun, pre-anything notable. I have no doubt you remember. Prior to basketball success, the most impressive thing that came out of Storrs was the Connecticut Repertory Theatre (incidentally, their 97-98 "King Lear" was exceptional)
And G'town. I will never forget the verbal abuse Patrick Ewing used to take from St. John's fans. And what irony: In less than the blink of an eye, Ewing is predictably selected by the Knicks and he owns the town like "that."
As a native of Chicago and a lifelong Bulls fan (I remember the nights of 1500 people in Chicago Stadium), it gave me endless joy to see Michael and Co. stop the Knicks year after year after year.
CG - I not only remember when UConn was an after thought in the Big East, I was there when it was in the Yankee Conference and the thought of it winning a national title in anything (except maybe soccer) was totally laughable.
OMGosh! there is sooo much to gush i about i don't know where to start! i LOVEEEE the gorgeous iron work railings, the totally chic modern look from the outside, the views, the spaciousness. i could go on and on and on. great job, great tastes, great decorating. ok, i'll shut up now. :)
