Great Mid-Western Trek

Every three years like lemmings going tot the sea, Wife and I trek to the Midwest for her family's reunion. So it is that yesterday we drove through New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and on to Wichita Kansas where we spent the night.

And for the first time ever tried fried pickles! I will report on that at the next stop.

Today it's Kansas, Iowa, and on to Madison Wisconsin.

I tried fried pickles for the first time last year and LOVED them. The kind with cream cheese in them are the best.

Welcome to the Midwest! I hope you enjoy the humidity.

Fried pickles? Never had them, nor does it sound like something I would enjoy. I eagerly await your analysis.

Have a safe journey and let us know about the fried pickles! You have escaped the smokey air in Abq from the fires in eastern AZ! Hot temps and smokey air are not a good combination!! Looking forward to you next posts with the family!

Crazy time to come here with all the storms and humidity. The latest storm line is in WI...nice and hot here but no storm.

I would love to try a fried pickle! Just one though, as I'm not too big on fried foods. Can't wait to hear how they were!
