I LOVE Murphy's Law

It's Saturday and we're getting ready to go. Wife wants to finish up all kinds of on line banking stuff for the business. When she goes on line she is notified that:

The XYZ Bank (name withheld) has been put into Receivership by the FDIC

Hmmmm -

  1. Will any of our automated debits go through?
  2. Will our checks clear?
  3. Will we be able to deposit money?
  4. We can't change banks on Monday because we'll be out of the country
  5. Is our line of credit frozen? We're suppose to move money over today to cover checks?
Answers after much running around on computer by Wife

  1. Maybe
  2. Should
  3. Supposed to
  4. Will have to wait
  5. Probably but there was a sign that maybe it went through.

Could be worse. Just another challenge

Well, I guess it wouldn't be a typical vacation if there wasn't some sort of glitch. This one though... kind of a biggie. I hope everything works out alright.

Wow... that blows. I hope everything turns out ok. It's kinda hard to take a trip without access to your money. :-/

That's absolutely amazing. I'm afraid to cash my last check for fear of it bouncing and everyone incurring fees galore!
