Traveling as we do involves all kinds of adjustments and flexibility
The Airbnb we were in today had a Keurig coffee maker (hate the bastards) which of course I could not get to function. Plus we had no bread having come in yesterday in a pouring rain and had no stomach for going out to shop.
So breakfast featured pretzels as our bread product
Then it was on to the Mississippi River front where there were all kinds of fun opportunities
Same view with two different lens
Passing the local planetarium couldn't help but notice their display of the planets
I was drawn to Saturn
Where scientists have found a new feature on the surface that resembles
de-I!
Views of the 'Old State House' we will be visiting tomorrow because it is closed on Mondays!
Captain Spouse!
The 'New' State House
Then it was on to the LSU Rural Living Museum, a pretty cool place with buildings and information about life in the in late 18th and early 19th century. And the opportunity for FISH-EYE GONE WILD!
Really great for interiors
But I digress
Captain Spouse on her 'away mission' trying to communicate with the Outhouse People of Omega Alpha 9
And other stuff
First video using fish-eye
Touring a church
Video of egret on the hunt
We finished up the day at a local place for lunch recommended by the girl at the museum desk, Crawfords Family Restaurant (sorry no website)
Start with some hush puppies
Wife follows with a plate with fried catfish, shrimp and crab claws
She had Cajun potatoes, half mashed with Cajun flavoring and field peas
I had the catfish smothered with craw fish ettoufee along with fried okra and mustard greens
A great introduction to Louisiana food!

Seafood-friendly Louisiana seems like a great place to try out your fish eye lens...
I am most taken by the food, I have to admit.
