So on our last day in Shanghai we actually visited a few things in Shanghai - the Old French Concession, Fuxing Park, the Bund and a river cruise to take in the sky line. The history of Shanghai is inexorably connected with the time in the late 19th early 20th century when China's sovereignty was dominated by European powers. During this period, Shanghai developed from a minor city to a major one. The French Concession and the Bund represent that period of development.
Pictures from the French Concession
In the French Concession is the location of the first Congress of Communist Party of China...really looking forward to that!
But no :(
Our ongoing track record of places we want to see being repaired
Fuxing Park
There are rules here
You may skip, run, jump, hop
But you may not...
The Bund and the Shanghai Skyline
Panorama of the Waterfront
Our boat ride on the river gave us the best viewpoint of the Bund which
has one of the best collections of art deco era buildings in the world.

I'm not sure I understand the Six Convenience Service Measures. Did this make more sense in context?
I am now deeply concerned that you will sentenced to hard labor for persistent striding...
man. still love Shanghai. Such an amazing place.
Renee Michelle - No it didn't!
JRR - This is why one travels to China with a member of the diplomatic corps as your personal guide. The prison stay was mercifully short!
