We were looking for one more thing to do before we finished up our time in Phuket. I had put out feelers for a number of different things (photo workshop, guided tour, boat tour) but nothing came back. Both Wife and I had been dissatisfied with our time at Old Town at the end of our long day on Saturday. We'd both been tired (me especially so), and were hot and beat up. So we didn't really feel we had the kind of experience that we wanted. So we made the decision to go back on Monday evening.
This turned out to be inspired. We were rested and in good spirits. We did some research so were able to find some things and orient our walk other than just wander around. We located a place we wanted to eat. Because Monday is a slow day of the week, the area had far, far fewer people or vehicle traffic. This allowed us to both wander around a bit without loosing track of each other. It made it easier to get the sight lines we wanted for various shots. And in general made for a much better experience.
For myself, I knew I needed to do something different if I was going to photograph the same area, so I broke out the fish eye lens for the first time and used it almost exclusively for the night.

We need sustenance and had researched this mini-hawker mall that was local food folk but more oriented toward the tourist without it being 'tourist food'.
We had a bowl of Masaman Curry with Roti. It was awesome!
