2019 Eurasia Adventure - An Olympia Moment!

All the freaking holidays are finally over and we actually got to go out and do something. We secured the services of the great guide we had last year, Ioannis, and he set up two days of touring for us. Today we went to Olympia, the site of the ancient Olympic games. He had us rent 3D iPads and it was very cool to see how the buildings might have looked when they were complete. This trip hit many of the high points of our travel.

Running Water!
It was very cool to be with our Ioannis again because he totally remembered Wife and me and fanatical photographic folks and had us stop a this damn (click here).

Then of course there is that which is so close in our hearts to religious buildings
RUINS!
Come on
We're back in Greece
You knew Ruins Pictures were in your future

OLYMPIA
Home of the Ancient Olympic Games
Held for over 700 years in antiquity
Using the 3D iPad

 But I digress
Here-More Ruins

Then we prepare to enter the actual stadium

And as long as we are doing ruins, I suggest we do
SCULPTURE TOO!

Next
Picturesque Greek Sea Side Lunch!

And finishing up in the Greek countryside

It is amazing how life like the sculptures. Of course they would have the broken parts. I liked that the best.

If only you could have crammed in a visit to a church, it would have been the perfect blog photo trifecta!
