Visiting Pulandia

One of the primary places we are visiting this trip is the legendary matriarchdom of Pulandia.  Pulandia is not just any place.  It is one of these mythic places.  Pulandia you see is not located in any one location.  Pulandia moves!  It goes from place to place around the world.  Pulandia is at various times in Florida, Japan, Hawaii, California, New Mexico, Virginia.  Pulandia currently resides in Manila Philippines.  But don't hold your breath.  Pulandia moves with such frequency that it could be in the Western Hemisphere and back to the Eastern Hemisphere in little more than year.

In addition to not being fixed in space, Pulandia also operates by a different set of physical rules than the rest of reality.  Whereas most of the world seeks to find stability, in Pulandia there is the need to seek change.  Everything in Pulandia changes...all the time.  Just the mere fact that the entire matriarchy ups and moves almost every two years is enough to ensure that everything is in a constant state of packing, unpacking, getting into schools, getting out of schools, planning for transportation, finding housing, getting out of housing, etc. 

As the current matriarch of Pulandia is none other the Pulisha the First (aka our daughter #2), Wife and I have become very acquainted with the ways of Pulandia.  Therefore, even though we are in Manila and Southeast Asia for the very first time, the fact that we are visiting Pulandia gives it all this very familiar (if somewhat chaotic) feel.

One of the regular activities in Pulandia is going to the market.  No matter where it physically might be, a market will be found

Everything from Filipino, Indonesian, Mexican, American, you name it.

Another ongoing pastime when visiting Pulandia is entertaining the matriarchal offspring while the matriarch herself is in some appointment (the doctor this time with one of the others)
