Street Scenes from Cambodia

The tourist areas of Siem Reap are really not what day-to-day Cambodia is like.  It is a nation that have been through hell, seems to be doing a reasonable job of bouncing back in spite of authoritarian government and corruption, but is still a poor place.  I took many pictures as we drove around to give you a feel for what both the city and country life looked like.  No comments.  I think the pictures tell their own story.

the lack of infrastructure is quite remarkable. You see signs of independent commerce which make you think of developed comforts, but all surrounded by dirt roads, poor to no plumbing..
