Because I'm going to have to get them in soon. The beautiful weather is because once again we are short of precipitation, i.e. drought which means as the forest fire season starts (any week now) it will be only a matter of time until they shut down the forest for safety reasons until the monsoon starts.

How long did this hike take you? When I think of attempting to climb a mountain via an eight-mile trail, in my mind, it would be an all-day event. Of course, I also have short legs.
Mike. I hike at about 2 miles an hour. And it was a total of 8 miles so it was 4 up and 4 back. So about 4 hours of hiking with a break in between up and down of about 15 to 20 minutes. So say a mornings worth of work.
oh man, that blue is enough to send me packing. In my mind anyways.
