There are many, many things I love about living in New Mexico and Albuquerque in specific. Just one of them are the fabulous sunsets we get. One of the big reasons we did our addition was the fact that our house did not let us really see them. Now with our expanded view we get to enjoy them almost every evening.
I took these pictures over the last two nights. They are not all that different from what we see most nights. Sigh.
I love these next two shots. If you look closely you will see that the clouds are building up in the shape of the mountains below.
All your blogs do is make me jealous. All the beautiful landscapes, the hiking, the cooking. Where else have you lived besides NM? So far I have moved from Illinois to Missouri. :) Not much scenery change there...although MO does have a few more hills than flat-land Illinois.
Jules - I grew up in Connecticut and lived for 17 years in Maryland before we moved to NM. We came here for a vacation and then made a decision that we were going to move here permanently - which we did about 3 years later.
There is a beauty to New Mexico that is unlike most other places I've been in the U.S. I remember many sunsets out there, not only in ABQ but in Taos and Santa Fe. The seemingly endless sky, the mountains and the actual color of the land all combined to create...well, pretty much what you captured.

Sunsets are my favorite also. I am so happy with my west facing deck. I'll try to get some pictures that rival yours.
Wow... those are awesome pictures. We have some cool sunsets here, but nothing like that.
New Mexico does have beautiful landscapes, and that includes sunsets. I'm so glad you're appreciating the addition and what you've gained from it.

Oh yeah. I could get used to sunsets like those. Beautiful.

I wonder if the humidity has some effect as well
You should rent out your Tower Suite to tourists, like me. It looks like a beautiful resort. Do you have turn down service or valet parking?
ok. ONE plus to living in Albuquerque.
Ah! Yes! To behold such beauty is beyond compare in nature! I feel very fortunate to share in the experience!
Oh Albuquerque, your sunsets will forever make me think of you...wah wah wah
Very nice. And from your house no less. Good stuff.
