It has been a surprise to us the number of holidays that have fallen in our short window of time here in El Campello. There's been the:
- Local Moors & Christian Festival (a three day event)
- Valencian Community Day (the Valencia region's holiday)
- Spain's National Holiday
- El Campello's Local Church Holiday
All of these have taken place in a 10 day period. For each almost all of the stores have been closed which has wreaked havoc on quite a bit of our planning. The last above mentioned holiday was yesterday. We were sitting in our living room when we suddenly hear explosions. Going to the rear window, we see the most amazing fireworks display. This goes on for about a half an hour. And we have the perfect view, right from our living room.

I agree, the fireworks were really spectacular, especially for such a small town!
