It takes a toll on these Eldership warriors assaulting all these fortified outposts here in what we are calling Jadid al-Andalus (New al-Andalus). So we have called for younger, more energetic, more warlike reinforcements. And in the tradition of the Byzantines with their Varangian mercenaries (yes I know I am mixing up my historical references and metaphors!), we want fierce Norsemen...or in this case Norsewomen. Fortunately the de-I clan has its own personalized Swedish Viking group...the #3's now residing in Malmoe, Sweden.
The bringing of high powered, fearsome Nordic mercenaries is considered to be foul play among those defending against us. So we needed to sneak them in. We arranged for a flight that arrived in Alicante at midnight. Thankfully there were only about a hundred other flights arriving at midnight so no one really noticed a couple of young, female Vikings, even the airline person who accompanied them out for us to pick them up.
It was quite late by the time we got our reinforcements back to El Campello HQ so they immediately conked out. We spent Thursday resting for the battles ahead, stocking up on foodstuffs (can't go to battle without chips and sweets can you?), while 3.2 and 3.1 went into the pool.
This requires a comment as it is proof positive of their Viking nature (though I suspect 3.1 is not near the Norsewoman as 3.2). Even thought the highs here are just barely above 70, according to 3.2 "this is height of summer heat for us" and she dashed into the pool. Personally, I was going no where near the water as I had no desire to get hypothermia. But you want high powered, warlike, Norse, Viking girl warriors, this is the attitudes you get.
All is now prepared for our next assaults.

70s is indeed the height of summer heat for us. Was it just as crowded for the 7am return flight?
