Italia 2017 - Albanian Scenery

During our mega day last Wednesday, we drove through a variety of landscapes. Albania is a land of such contrasts and that goes for it s landscapes as well.

The Albanian coastline as seen from the site of Butrint
There are so many old and interesting trees
This one is new growth that has come out of stump of a tree that fell long ago
We went to a place called the Blue Eye Spring
I was a little skeptical thinking it wouldn't amount to much
I was wrong. The colors were spectacular

I forget how deep the spring comes from but the water flow is substantial.
You throw a small rock into the spring and it will not sink put will be pushed out down the stream
(I tried it)

Our intrepid photographer
Downstream from the spring

And yes THOSE WERE REFLECTIONS !!!!!!!!

Then we went through a mountain/valley area with the most interesting visible examples of sedimentary and tectonic action. I wished I had a geologist with us.

Plus we had interesting cloud action from the heavy rains the day before

You are certainly getting a chance to improve your water-based photography skills, whether it is water on the ground or in the air.
