We went for a lovely mile and a half hike and then went to a place called the Apple House in Linden VA near Front Royale for a late lunch noted for their great fresh all the time apple donuts.

What a gorgeous place! You sure got a beautiful day for a hike.
There's an apple orchard in Bayfield, WI that we visit each year during our stay there. There'a s gift shop with a small bakery and you can smell the apple donuts the minute you walk inside. And they are especially delicious when they're served up still warm. I could almost taste them again looking at the photo of your donuts! Yum!
