Return of the Prodigal Fowl

Actually I doubt if it is the same hummingbird that nested on our wind chime two summers ago. Wife looked on Wikipedia and found that hummingbirds don't use the same nest twice.

But here again we have one. I'll see if I can get Wife to get some close ups.

I love Hummingbirds. My mom manages to draw a few to her front window with her flowers. We have a feeder outside our front window, but I think there is just too much activity there and I have yet to see one. Looking forward to potential pictures on your blog.

I like hummingbirds too. Maybe someday I'll get a birdfeeder. A nest dropped onto our deck from up in the corner. We left it there, and a few days later I enjoyed all the other birds from the neighborhood coming over to steal pieces of the nest to take to their own. It was funny watching them try to get a tough one out that was stuck...they kept hopping backwards, playing tug of war, and then they would fall off the edge of the balcony. I was mesmerized and it was really funny.

I guess hummingbirds probably don't sh*t all over your front porch like most birds do. Sign me up for a wind chime.
