Not sure if you saw that guy just yesterday who went bungee jumping and the strap came off his foot. Boom! Right into the water. Hit chest first and suffered "car accident" like injuries. He lived though.
That Haast Pass Highway looks like it would be a cool road to take though, right along the edge of that huge national park.
