Transformation

What a change four months make. When I was in Ghana in September, I posted on the considerable progress we had made. But equally it was a very stressful trip due to numerous factors.

Going into 2022, I put to bed the planning and presentation needed to seek out funding and got started actually looking for that funding. At the same time the team in Ghana has seemed to grow to a new level of understanding.

A number of you have seen this but if you haven't, this 8-minute presentation done by two of our women at a virtual Rotary meeting just before New Years captures that change.

Whereas a year ago, we were just hoping to prove that we could fulfill the promises we made of turning our candidates into real virtual assistants, we now have a clear plan for taking our proof-of-concept and turning it into the business we envisioned.

And how about this for transformation?

What's special about this? This was taken after our first ever planning session including our Ghana Board of Directors, our management and our participants. That planning session was notable enough but this picture is what is more notable. It is our participants' decision to no longer hide their faces. When we began, the potential shame of being recognized publicly for what they had been led them to insisting their image not be made public. Now they are taking a lead in visibly and vocally being the image of change potential.

We have a long way to go. But we have come a long way as well.
