Many, many hours of research, many hundreds of dollars, and many agonizing if it will be shipped in time later, our genuine Italian manufactured gelato machine arrived yesterday. Wife has started the experimenting on recipes today. We are pretty much eating nothing but gelato from now until the party.

Ooo, tell me more. My (admittedly rudimentary) understanding was that one reason gelato is different than ice cream is that it's stored at a different freezer temperature than standard. How do you deal with that?
I'm afraid RMG you will have to direct all your questions to Dr. Gelatostein herself as she is the mad scientist in this project.
